The Role of a Center
The center is a very important position in FreeStyle Street Basketball. Using your size and strength advantage, Centers dominate and control the game from under the basket. The Center’s role is simple: Hold your position under the hoop, rebound missed shots, pass to open team members, and crush your opponents with ‘in your face’ dunks and monster blocks. Although the Center is slow, they make up for it with power.
Initial Character Creation
When creating a Center, keep in mind that this position does not promote at level 16. As with other positions, your skills will change as you adjust your height. People new to the position should consider strong numbers in rebounding and blocking. Also keep in mind that you will need Power to maintain your position under the basket.
Specialized Attributes
Unlike Guards and Forwards, Centers do not promote to a specialty class at level 16. Because of the Centers size and strength, there is no need. Your starting attributes will progress throughout the game. At higher levels your ‘under the hoop’ skills, as well as bank shots and dunks, will become a force to be reckoned with.
Basic Center Gameplay
Stay in the Paint! You are slow, but you are powerful, strong and tall. Do not run around the court trying to catch Guards and Forwards. Stay under the basket as much as possible and keep yourself between your opponents and the basket. Rebound and block. If you have to move out a little to block a mid ranged shot, do so, and then get back to the basket. When on offense, pass the ball out to an open man if you are covered. You are the king of the paint. Fight for it. Own it. Don’t let anyone take it from you.

The Role of the Forward
The Forward is a versatile player who can be the team’s leading scorer, or a key defensive player. With dazzling individual flair, a Forward can sink amazing midrange jump shots and throw down power slams that energize the crowd. A Forward can also provide game changing rebounding and blocking abilities to a team.
Initial Character Creation
Since basic attributes change with height, a shorter stature will create a more offense oriented Forward, whereas a taller stature will create a Forward more specialized in defense. Carefully consider your Forward’s height when planning out their eventual transition to SF (Small Forward) or PF (Power Forward).
Specialized Attributes
As a basic Forward, leveling up will improve your abilities offensively and defensively equally. A Forward’s basic attributes provide for strong middle shots with faster running speeds than a Center. Their greatest contributions to their team are often assessed in terms of their middle shot, rebound, and block shot skills.
Basic Forward Gameplay
Basically, a Forward moves between the 3-point line and the center line below the basket. If your team lacks a Guard, your main role as a Forward will be assisting with passes. Without a Center, the Forward will lead on defensive rebounds. With both a Center and a Guard, your offensive play mainly involves covering your team’s weaknesses.

The Role of the Guard
The Guard is basically the “Commander of the Court” with “playmaking” abilities. What is a Guard’s most important role? A Guard’s primary role is creating optimal shooting opportunities for the team.
A Guard can adeptly dribble and cut through the defense, throw quick passes to jolt the opponents out of sync, or emerge as a hero with their 3-point shots leading the team to victory
Creating a Guard
When creating a Guard you should consider their future position plans in determining the character’ height. In general, a taller player will lose steal and running abilities though they willl gain rebounding and blocking abilities. Depending on the style of guard you wish to create, you may want to make a taller or shorter character.
The Basic Attributes of the Guard
During character creation, you shouldn’t focus on developing a character that is too focused on either offesne or defense. The best guards tend to be well balanced. Guards excel in scoring assists, 3-pointers, and steals. A Guards lesser abilities like steals and rebounds can also be powerful factors in a game’ outcome.
Basic Guard Gameplay
On offense, try not to grab every 3-point shot opportunity you can get. Instead, make it a goal to pass the ball to other teammates for their shooting chances. On defense, closely guard your counterpart with quick moves. At the same time, target steals from behind them in order to break their dribble and play.
